The monochrome display controller enables your computer to display text on an 
80 character by 25 line monochrome monitor.

NOTE: The monitor must be compatible with a 18.432 Kilohertz horizontal sweep 
rate an a 50 hertz vertical sweep rate.

If you system is to include a color/graphics display controller as well as a 
monochrome display controller, you may assign default status to either of the 
two devices. This is done by means of switches on the computer's main logic 
board. The default display controller is the one that will be automatically 
selected by the computer's operating system upon power-up. You select the 
other controller by means of the MODE command.
