NOTE: This section applies only to systems equipped with both a monochrome
display controller and a color/graphics display controller.

Use the following procedure to select the monochrome display controller when
the color/graphics controller has been assigned default status.

1. Load DOS and obtain the DOS prompt.

NOTE: The DOS file named MODE.COM must be in the drive designated by the DOS
prompt.

2. Respond to the DOS prompt as follows:

    Type: MODE M

    Press: [RETURN]

Your display is now under control of the monochrome display controller. The
DOS prompt will be displayed on your monitor screen.
