Enhanced Graphics Adapter (250-4037) Installation Faxback Doc. # 2126 The Enhanced Graphics Adapter is designed to work with the Tandy 1200 HD, Tandy 3000, Tandy 3000 HL and compatibles. The instructions for removing the cover and setting the motherboard switches and/or jumpers for these three computers are given below. If you are installing the Enhanced Graphics Adapter into a compatible computer, refer to your computer's Operations manual for instructions on removing the cover and setting motherboard switches and/or jumpers. Installation: 1. Locate the slot in which you want to install the Enhanced Graphics Adapter. Remove and save the retaining screw holding the small metal cover plate. 2. Remove and save the cover plate. If, at a later time, you take the Enhanced Graphics Adapter out of your computer, replace the cover plate. 3. Slide the Enhanced Graphics Adapter into the card guide slot and carefully plug the board into the bottom connection. Be sure the gold "fingers on the bottom of the Enhanced Graphics Adapter are firmly and evenly seated into the connector on the motherboard. 4. Replace the retaining screw. 5. Double check you work. Replace the main unit's cover. Tighten screws. Plug in the computer and all peripherals. Insert a diskette. Turn unit ON. SYSTEM CHECKOUT Once your Enhanced Graphics Adapter is installed and the PC is powered up, your computer will automatically check itself. If you are installing the Enhanced Graphics Adapter into a Tandy 3000 or Tandy 3000 HL computer, you must run the Setup program. The Setup program is located on the system utilities diskette located in the back of your computer's Installation and Operations Manual.
