ZPDA (250-3100) Hints Faxback Doc. # 2642 To help prevent possible information loss, follow these precautions at all times: - Never take apart the unit. - Do not drop the unit. - Avoid sudden temperature changes. - Promptly replace the batteries when the low-battery warning appears. - Even if you do not plan to use the unit for a long time, replace the batteries periodically to prevent damage from leakage. Replace the main batteries at least once a year and the backup batteries at least once every five years. - Never use thinner, benzene, or other solvents or strong detergents to clean the case. Use only a soft cloth moistened with water and a mild soap. Wring out the cloth until it is barely damp to prevent drops of water from contacting internal parts. - Use a soft cloth to clean the screen. - If you try to use the unit when it is very cold, the display might not operate. This is temporary. Gradually return the unit to a normal room- temperature environment before you use it. - If the unit is exposed to a strong electrostatic charge, the screen might dim or the unit might lock up. To correct this situation, perform a soft reset. (clh-09/27/93)
