VERIFYING CORRECT INSTALLATION

RUNNING THE TEST PROGRAM:

After you install the sound board, run the diagnostic program to be sure it
is correctly connected.  To run the program:

1)  Change to the \SP2\UTILITY subdirectory on your hard disk, and type:
    SG2    ENTER   The diagnostics program main screen appears.  You are
    prompted to press ENTER again to continue, or ESC to exit.

2)  Press ENTER.  The program first performs a sound card detection test.
    Then it detects the sound card's hardware configuration  (I/O Address,
    Interrupt, and DMA settings).

3)  Press ENTER again.  This screen appears for you to further test that
    the sound card is properly installed.

4)  Using the up arrow and down arrow cursor movement keys, select the
    testing option you desire and press ENTER.  For each of the testing
    option selected (except SETUP ENVIRONMENT), you should hear music or a
    voice.


*NOTE:  You can only use the MIDI IN TESTING and MIDI OUT TESTING options
        if you have a MIDI cable connected to a MIDI device and attached
        to Sound Power 2.0.
