1.  If setup is set for Video Display External CRT, the LCD does not
    have an active display.  If the CRT is removed the LCD still will not
    have an active display.  The result is no video on the LCD.  If the
    notebook boots into windows the [Fn] [F8] keys (to alternate video
    display) has no effect.

    Solution: After the HDD/FDD activity light goes out, press [ALT] [F4],
    wait 3 seconds, press enter, wait 3 seconds, press the [Fn] [F8] keys.
    At this point the LCD is active, the user can change setup, or
    continue working with out making changes to setup.

Note:
  1  If the unit is powered down with out changes to setup, the steps
     above will need to be repeated.

  2.  If the unit does not boot into windows, press [Fn] [F8] after the
      HDD/FDD light goes out.

  3.  If using the external keyboard, use the [CTRL] [ALT] key sequence
      to replace the [Fn] key.

  4.  If there is a password being used on the notebook, wait
      approximately 10 seconds after powering up the unit, type in the
      password, press <ENTER>, and continue with the above steps.

2.  The keyboard option in setup has two settings, INSTALLED and NOT
    INSTALLED.  Both settings appear to have no effect on the keyboard
    detection on power up.  In other words no matter what the setting, if
    an external keyboard is detected on power up, the external functions
    and the system keyboard will not.

3.  System memory requires the unit be disassembled.  This is not a user
    or store upgrade.  The unit must be sent to repair.

4.  Installing power.exe in Windows.

  1.    CD into Windows
  2.    Type <SETUP> <ENTER>
  3.    Highlight Computer <ENTER>
  4 .   Tab down to MS-DOS System with APM <ENTER>
  5.    <ENTER>
  6.    Insert Windows disk 2 in drive A: <ENTER> or type 
        c:\disks\windows\windows\disk2 <ENTER>
  7.    Exit Windows setup
  8.    Edit config.sys, add the following line:
        DEVICE=C:\UTILS\POWER.EXE
  9.    Reboot the notebook
 10.    Enter Windows
 11.    Click on MAIN,
 12.    Click on CONTROL PANEL
 13.    Click on POWER.

5.  To install a Serial Mouse do the following:

  1.   Connect Serial Mouse
  2.   Enter setup [CTRL] [ALT] [S]
  3.   Press [Fn] [PgDn] twice
  4.   Highlight COM1/COM2
  5    Set to: COM1/DISABLE or COM1/MODEM if modem is installed.
  6    Press [ESC] [F4]

Note:  No changes in Windows Setup for mouse driver is required.

6.  The Suspend/Resume Switch only works when the notebook is powered by
    the battery. If the AC adapter is plugged in this switch has no
    function.
