MPC Audio Adapter (250-1099) Applications Bulletin Faxback Doc. # 2723 The following sections contain updated information on preparing CD-ROM drives for use and installing multimedia applications. NOTE: The instructions in this bulletin refer to the CD-ROM drive as drive E:. The CDR-1000 drive is normally Drive D: and the CDR-1100 is normally Drive E. If you have network drives or more than one hard drive, the CD-ROM drive uses the first available drive letter in the system. Be sure to type the appropriate drive letter for your system when you use the following procedures. CDR-1100 SETUP It is not necessary to change the MSCDEX command line in the AUTOEXEC.BAT file after running the CDR-1100 setup program. INSTALLING REFERENCE LIBRARY To install Reference Library, insert the System Disc into the CD-ROM drive. From the MS-DOS prompt, type e:\install and press ENTER to begin the installation. Follow the directions on the screen to complete the installation. INSTALLING U.S. ATLAS To install U.S. Atlas, perform the following steps: 1. Insert the System Disc into the CD-ROM drive. 2. From the Windows Program Manager, select the File Menu.. Then, select Run. 3. Type: e:\usa\ussetup.exe and press ENTER. Follow the instructions on the screen to customize U.S. Atlas as it is installed on the hard drive. INSTALLING WORLD ATLAS To install World Atlas, perform the following steps: 1. From the Windows Program Manager, select the File Menu. Then, select Run. 2. Type: e:\setup.exe and press ENTER Follow the instructions on the screen to customize World Atlas as it is installed on the hard drive. INSTALLING TOOLWORKS ANIMALS Insert the Animals CD into the CD-ROM drive. Form the Windows Program Manager, select the File Menu. Select Run then, type: e:\setup.exe and press ENTER. Follow the instructions on the screen to install Animals on the hard drive. USING THE TCDP UTILITY The TCDP audio utility is provided to enable you to play CDs.
