You can use the program to set the date and time, to create passwords, and to establish how your system uses features such as drives, ports, and videos. If you need to run System Setup because the computer detects an incorrect setting, it displays the following message: Press to continue, or to run System Setup. If System Setup does not need to be run, the following message appears: To run System Setup, press now. In either case, press . System Setup starts. When you start System Setup, the Main Menu appears. The System Setup screen is divided into two parts. The left part of the screen displays the menus and fields you use to run the program. Generally, you select a secondary menu, which presents a list of fields. You then move the cursor to a field and select a value for it. (The date and time fields, however, are available directly from the Main menu.) The right part of the screen tells you how to use the secondary menus and fields you select. This information changes automatically as you make new selections.
