SENSATION! (250-1651) Adding a WinMate Program Icon Faxback Doc. # 2876 1. From the WinMate desktop, click on the Program Manager icon. 2. Click on "Accessories". 3. Double-click on "Paintbrush". To use an existing "diamond" icon, follow steps 4 thru 9. To use a new picture as an icon, create it in Paintbrush at this point, then skip to step 10. 4. Click on "File", then on "Open". 5. Insert the DATA CD into the CD-ROM drive. 6. Click on the drives down-arrow, then choose drive D:. 7. Choose the following path: D:\PICTURES\PROGRAMS 8. Choose the picture you want to use, then click on "OK". 9. Make desired changes to the icon, if any. 10. Click on "File", then on "Save As". 11. Save the file using the following path: C:\WINDOWS\filename.BMP 12. Exit Paintbrush, then close Accessories. 13. Click on the Home icon to return to the WinMate desktop. 14. Double-click the door for the group to which the icon will be added. 15. Click on the Design icon. 16. Click on "Add", then on "Program". 17. For Command Line, enter: C:\pathname\filename.ext 18. For Working Directory, enter: C:\pathname 19. Click on "Browse" under Current Graphic. This will bring up a screen showing the different graphics available under MicroGraphix ClipArt. 20. Click on the "Types" option on the menubar, then on "Choose Type...". 21. From the list of types, click on "My Bitmaps", then on "OK". 22. Click on "File", then on "Add". 23. For "Name", enter a name for the picture. This is the name that will appear in the list of pictures. It is NOT the filename. This is important. 24. For "Description", enter a description for your picture. 25. For "Path", enter the complete path AND the filename. Example: C:\WINDOWS\ARGYLE.BMP This is important. At this point, your picture should appear. 26. Double-click on your picture. 27. Click "OK" on the Program window. Your picture should appear on the screen. 28. Drag the new icon to wherever you want it to be. 29. Click on the Exit icon. 30. Click on the Home icon. 31. Click on "Yes" for "Save Current Changes?". (sm/rl-5/26/94)
