SENSATION! (250-1651) Hints and Tips Faxback Doc. # 2879 1. Playing an audio CD. To play CD audio, go to the Media Player. Click on "Device", then on "CD Audio". The CD player should appear on the screen. If there is no "CD Audio" option under Device, close Windows and check the MPLAYER.INI file in the WINDOWS directory. The last line might read: CDAudio=0 This is not correct. The line should read: CDAudio=17, CD Audio When Windows is re-started, the Media Player should list "CD Audio" as an option under "Device". This is a problem Microsoft is aware of. Also check Control Panel under Drivers to make sure the [MCI] CD Audio driver is loaded. If not, CD Audio will not be available in Media Player. If the CD Audio option is available but will not play music, check the SBMixer to see that all volumes are at a sufficient level. If SBMixer is set correctly and the music will not play, check the cable from the CD-ROM drive to the sound board. 2. VoDaFax driver error (or Windows locks up after intro screen). Make sure serial port 2 is disabled so the FAX/modem can use COM 2. This driver is set to use COM 2. 3. Computer continues to play menu announcement after the user answers the phone. Run the SETMODEM utility from the StartUp disk and INCREASE the modem sensitivity (LOWER the number...19 should do). 4. After a call is ended, the off-hook icon continues to be displayed for more than 15 seconds. Run the SETMODEM utility from the StartUp disk and DECREASE the modem sensitivity (RAISE the number...should not need to go above 22). (sm/rl-6/01/94)
