The following is the RE-INSTALL instructions for a 25-1045 when booted from
the INSTALL BACKUP diskette.

Boot machine with dos disk

At prompt, type C:INSTALL

<FIRST SCREEN>
          
           Hard Disk Installation Program

           for 40 SmartDrive Cat No. 25-1046
        Copywrite (C)1985-1989 Western Digital Corporation

   You will need a blank diskette to continue this program.  This program is
   going to install your hard disk for you.  Most of the operations are
   automatic; however, the install program will beep if it needs you to do
   something.

<NEXT SCREEN>

   Initializing and Testing hard drive...
   There will be no screen activity for the next few minutes while the best
   performance Interleave is measured.

   (pause)

   hard drive is formatted.

   Installation of your hard drive is complete!
   Remove the backup diskette.  Store your installation backup diskette(s)
   in a safe place.  If you ever need to re-install your hard drive, boot
   your system from the diskette labeled INSTALL BACKUP.
