105 MB Smartdrive (250-4130) Addendum Faxback Doc. # 3098 After you install the 105MB SmartDrive in your computer, you must run the computer Setup utility to specify the drive type. Do not select type 12, as is indicated in the following sections of the installation guide: Page 5, "preparing the SmartDrive" in the "Before you Begin" section. Page 22, "Initialization Instructions" in the "Completing the Installation". section. Select Any (Non-Standard type) or Other as the drive type. After you select Non-Standard, enter the following information: Cylinders 755 Heads 16 Landing Zone 754 Sectors 17 Entering the above information gives the drive a formatted capacity of 102MB or 104,615,936 bytes (1MB=1,048,576 bytes) as formatted under MS-DOS 3.3. If the Setup utility for your computer does not support the Any (Non- Standard type) or Other option, select Type 36. Select "Y" for SmartDrive if the Setup utility for your computer has a SmartDrive option. NOTICE FOR NOVELL USERS: You must select drive type 36. Novell does not support the Any (Non- Standard type) or Other drive type at this time. NOTICE FOR TANDY 3000NL USERS: For a Tandy 3000NL, select Type 28.
