2x Speed IDE CD-ROM          The MPC 2 compatible, Mitsumi CD-ROM drive
                             harnesses the ability to read up to 680 MB of
                             data storage from one single CD-ROM disk. 
                             Compact Disk Storage takes advantage of the
                             latest hardware innovations, allowing the
                             capability to integrate sound, animation,
                             full-motion video, and photo-quality images.

Data Transfer Rate           The speed at which data is transferred from
                             the CD-ROM drive to the CPU is called the
                             data transfer rate.  The pre-installed CD-ROM
                             transfers data to your computer at a rate of
                             300 KB per second using a 64 KB buffer.

Access Time                  The time required for the drive to move the
                             read laser head over the surface of the disk
                             to a particular location to access the
                             required data.  The average access time of
                             this drive is under 250ms (milliseconds).

Multisession Photo CD        Allows you to read Multisession Photo CD's.

Motorized Drive Tray         The motorized drive tray is opened by
                             pressing a feather-touch button.  The drive
                             tray slides open and the disc is inserted
                             without the need for a disc caddy.

CD Audio                     Play music CDs while writing letters,
                             balancing a check book, or any other
                             application that doesn't require data from
                             the CD-ROM.

Headphone jack               A stereo headphone mini-jack is provided on
                             the front panel, allowing private listening
                             of regular audio Compact Disks.  The adjacent
                             volume control regulates the headphone
                             volume.
