MMS-20 (250-1109) Operation Faxback Doc. # 3304 TURNING THE MMS-20 ON AND OFF To turn on the MMS-20, press POWER. The POWER indicator lights. Press POWER again to turn off the MMS-20. SELECTING THE SPEAKERS Set SPEAKER (on the back of the MMS-20) as follows: INTERNAL - Activates the MMS-20's built-in tweeters and woofer. EXTERNAL - Activates the external speakers only. CONTROLLING THE SOUND After you select the speaker(s), adjust the following controls to suit your listening preferences: VOLUME - Turn to set the volume to a comfortable listening level. WARNING: To prevent possible ear injury and hearing loss, do not listen at high volume levels. BALANCE - Turn to adjust the balance between the left and right external speakers. MIXER - Turn to adjust the balance between the primary and auxiliary sound sources (INPUT A and INPUT B). EQUALIZER - Slide the five levers (100 Hz, 340 Hz, 1 kHz, 3.4 kHz, and 10 kHz) up to increase or down to decrease the level of sound around the frequency range listed. At the center position, the sound will not be affected. Notes: The leftmost lever (100 Hz) affects the lowest bass frequencies, while the rightmost lever (10 kHz) affects the highest treble frequencies. If sound becomes distorted when the equalizer is set at the maximum level, set the MMS-20's equalizer at a lower level, or use your computer's hardware or software to lower the volume.
