you care for the EC-4044 so you can enjoy it for years.

Taking Care of     Keep the EC-4044 dry.  If it gets wet, wipe it dry

                   in the EC-4044.  Always remove an old or weak battery.
                   It can leak chemicals that destroy electronic circuits.

                   Handle the EC-4044 gently and carefully.  Dropping it

                   calculator to work improperly.

                   Use and store the EC-4044 only in normal temperature
                   environments.  Temperature extremes can shorten the
                   life of electronic devices, damage the battery, and
                   distort or melt plastic parts.

                   Keep the EC-4044 away from dust and dirt, which can
                   cause premature wear of parts.

                   Wipe the EC-4044 with a damp cloth occasionally to keep
                   it looking new.  Do not use harsh chemicals, cleaning
                   solvents, or strong detergents to clean the EC-4044.

                   Do not bend or twist the EC-4044.  Carrying the unit in
                   a pants pocket can subject it to abnormal bending and
                   twisting.

                   Never try to take the EC-4044 apart.

                   Do not press the keys of the EC-4044 with a pen,
                   pencil, or other sharp object.

                   Modifying or tampering with the EC-4044 's internal
                   components can cause a malfunction and might invalidate
                   its warranty and void your FCC authorization to operate
                   it.  If your EC-4044 is not performing as it should,
                   take it to your local Radio Shack store for assistance.
