If you have established a password the system prompts you first to type the password, then to run System Setup. Ordinarily the computer displays the following message for a couple of seconds as it starts: To run System Setup, press now. To start System Setup, press while the message is on screen. If, instead, you do nothing the computer bypasses System Setup and continues its start-up routine. If the computer detects a configurations error, it displays the following message, then pauses: Press to continue, or to run System Setup. In this case, either press to start System Setup or press to bypass System Setup and allow the computer to continue its start- up routine. When you start System Setup, the Main Menu appears. The System Setup screen is divided into two parts. The left part on the screen displays the menus and fields you use to run the program. the Date and Time fields are available directly form the Main Menu, but generally you select a secondary menu. Secondary menus are listed under the words Advanced Options on the Main Menu. The secondary menu contains a list of fields. Move the cursor to a field and select a value for it. The right part on the screen tells you how to use the secondary menus and fields you select. This information changes automatically as you make new selections.
