DMP-136 (260-2868) Using Hex Dump Mode Faxback Doc. # 4028 The printer's hex dump feature can print the hexadecimal values for data transmitted to it. This mode is useful for checking the printing commands sent by your software to the printer. To use this feature, do the following: 1. Turn off the printer. 2. Set the MENU switch to ON LINE. Then, turn on the printer while you press and hold down QUIET. NOTE: To avoid printing on the platen, be sure to load paper at least eight inches wide. This prevents printing on the platen, because the test print lines cover a width of eight inches. 3. Be sure the printer is on line. Then, print as you normally do. NOTE: The printer prints the hexadecimal information for the data received. 4. Turn off the printer to end the hex dump test. (dtc-08/06/93)
