Test Prints:

This printer has three test print functions. Perform a test print whenever
you need to check the status of the printer's various settings or to make
sure the printer is functioning properly.

Self Test:

The self test prints the characters in the resident font using a sliding
pattern.

1. Place the paper in the multipaper cassette.
2. Turn on the printer.
3. If the printer is on line, press ON LINE to set it off line.
4. Press UP ARROW and DOWN ARROW at the same time.
5. The printer displays SELF TEST and the test print begins.
6. When the test print is over, press ON LINE to return the printer to on
   line.

Font Test:

The font test prints a list of selectable fonts.

1. Place paper in the multipaper cassette.
2. Turn on the printer.
3. If the printer is on line, press ON LINE to set it off line.
4. Press PRINT FONT/TEST.
5. The printer displays FONT PRINT and the test print begins.
6. When the test print is over, press ON LINE to return the printer to on
   line.

Status Print:

The status print prints a report on the printer's status.

1. Place paper in the multipaper cassette.
2. Turn on the printer.
3. If the printer is on line, press ON LINE to set it off line.
4. Press and hold PRINT FONT/TEST until the printer displays STATUS PRINT.
5. The test print begins.
6. When the test print is over, press ON LINE to return the printer to on
   line.
