Tandy Jet Cartridge (26-2874):  JP 250 Ink Refill Kit (26-2916)

Ink is supplied from the Tandy Jet cartridge installed in the printer 
carriage. The Jet cartridge must be replaced under the following conditions:

 1. When the cartridge has already been used for over one year.
 2. When the print is not clear, or has missing dots even after head clean-
    ing has been executed over five times.

Replace the Jet cartridge according to the following procedure:

 1. Make sure that the printer is offline. Then open the top cover and 
    paper cover.
 2. Unlock the Tandy Jet cartridge by lifting the lock lever. Then remove 
    the Tandy Jet cartridge.

CAUTION: Be careful not to touch the terminals on the flexible cable.

 3. Install the new Tandy Jet cartridge by inserting the guide into the 
    cartridge slit.
 4. Push the lock lever down to lock the Tandy Jet cartridge.
 5. Turn the printer on. Execute the head cleaning procedure and print the 
    check pattern to make sure that the print quality is satisfactory.

Note: When discarding the used Tandy Jet cartridge, place it in a vinyl bag.

CAUTIONS:

 ø  Do not touch the print head of the Tandy Jet cartridge. The print head 
    is a special precision component.
 ø  Do not subject the Tandy Jet cartridge to physical shock or vibration. 
    Ink may be spilled on your hands or clothes.
 ø  Do no attempt to refill the Tandy Jet cartridges. A clear printout can-
    not be obtained.
 ø  Do not disassemble the Tandy Jet cartridge. Ink may be spilled on your 
    hands or clothes.
 ø  Do not remove the Tandy Jet cartridge from the printer needlessly. The 
    cartridge may not print, because the ink will dry out.
