DMP 203 (26-2880) Using the Hex Dump Feature Faxback Doc. # 4159 This feature lets you print the hexadecimal information the computer sends to the printer. you can use this feature as a diagnostic tool when you have problems with the computer or the software. Follow these steps to use the hex dump feature: 1. Load standard, 8.5-inch-wide paper. CAUTION: The hex dump prints lines that are 8 inches long, so you must use 8.5-inch-wide paper to protect the platen. 2. While you hold down ON/OFF LINE, set the POWER switch to ON. When the ON/OFF LINE indicator lights, release ON/OFF LINE. 3. Send the print command from your computer. Note: The last part of the computer file might remain in the printer's buffer. When the computer stops printing, press ON/OFF LINE so that the ON/OFF LINE indicator lights. This prints any information remaining in the printer's buffer. 4.
