Using the HEX Dump Feature:

This function prints the received data in hexadecimal format. You can 
verify the actual data received from the computer.

NOTE: The hex dump function prints in an 8-inch-wide format, regardless of 
the PRINT WIDTH menu setting. Be sure to use paper that is at least 8 
inches wide.

1. Load the paper.

2. While pressing [LF] and [FF/LOAD], turn on the printer. The message HEX
   DUMP: ON LINE appears on the display and the printer is in the hex dump
   print mode.

3. Send data from the computer. The printer prints the hexadecimal notation
   of the received data.

To exit the hex dump mode, turn off the printer.
