Using the HEX DUMP Feature:

This feature lets you print the hexadecimal information the computer sends
to the printer. You can use this feature as a diagnostic tool when you have
problems with the computer or the software.

Follow these steps to use the hex dump feature.

1. Load standard, 8 1/2" wide paper.

CAUTION: The hex dump prints lines that are 8 inches long, so you must use
8 1/2" wide paper to protect the platen.

2. While you hold down ON/OFF LINE, set POWER to ON. When the ON/OFF LINE
   indicator lights, release ON/OFF LINE.

3. Send the print command from your computer.

4. Set POWER to OFF to end the hex dump mode.
