SETTING TOP OF FORM *

You can set the top-of-form position using the front panel control buttons 
is one of two methods, depending on the FORM TEAR -OFF setting.

IF FORM TEAR-OFF is set to ON...

1. Place the printer off line and load the paper as described earlier.
2. While holding down the TOF/QUIET button, press the FORM FEED button to
   advanced the paper or the LINE FEED button to retract the paper for fine
   adjustment. The lower red line on the paper shield shows the printing
   position.
3. When the paper reaches the printing position you desire, release both
   buttons. Then, press the TOF/QUIET button again.

TO RESET THE TOP-OF-FORM POSITION TO ITS FACTORY DEFAULT SETTING:

1. Press the PARK  button to park the paper in the printer.
2. Press the TOF/QUIET button.

TO RESET THE TOP-OF-FORM POSITION PLUS ALL MENU SETTINGS TO THEIR FACTORY
DEFAULT SETTINGS:

Press the PARK and TOF/QUIET buttons together while you turn on the printer.

IF FORM TEAR-OFF is set to OFF.

1. With the printer off line, move the paper to the desired top-of-form
   position  with the platen knob or the LINE FEED button. The lower red 
   line on the paper shield shows the printing position.
2. Press the TOF/QUIET button.
The top-of-form position is not saved in the printer's memory. The next 
time you turn on the printer, the top of form is set to the current line.
