DMP 2120 (260-2811) Function Selection Settings Faxback Doc. # 4619 The DMP-2120 has no DIP switches; instead, it has non-volatile memory. Whether the printer is turned on or off, it remembers various printer sett- ings, such as word processing or data processing mode. To check or change the settings currently in memory, the printer must be in the setup mode. Setup mode allows you to select options that change the printing style, page format, and other settings. In setup mode, each of the four switches on the control panel functions as labeled above it. These switches are defined as follows: EXIT Press this switch to exit the setup mode and return to ON-LINE:READY. FUNCTION Press this switch to change the functions. ITEM Press this switch to change the items within one function or to start and stop and operation. SELECT Press this switch to select options within one item or to start and stop an operation. NOTES: * Holding down the FUNCTION, ITEM, or SELECT switch automatically selects the respective functions, items, or options sequentially. * Once the printer is in the setup mode, all data the buffer, line counter, and so on is re-initialized.
