LP 990 (260-2879) Care and Maintenance Faxback Doc. # 4667 MAINTENANCE To ensure good print quality and to prolong the life of the printer, care for your printer as described in this section. CARTRIDGE REPLACEMENT The developer and OPC cartridge and the toner cartridge kit require periodic replacement. You can buy replacements at your local Radio Shack store. The following table shows the messages that appear on the printer's display when each part needs to be replaced. The table also shows the approximate life expectancy for each part. This varies depending on the number of graphics and large fonts your documents contain. To check the number of pages printed since you replaced the OPC and developer cartridges, print Self Test 1 as described in "Self Tests" and check the current life count values. This section gives instructions for replacing each of these parts. CAUTION: Failure to replace these parts can damage the printer.
