The procedures described in this section let you:

* reset the printer so that it uses its menu settings instead of previous
  software settings

* reset the printers menu settings to their factory settings

CLEARING SOFTWARE COMMANDS

This procedure clears printing information specified through software so 
that the printer uses the printing information specified through its print-
ing menu settings. For example, this might be necessary when you use soft-
ware that lets you specify printing information and then begin using soft-
ware that does not let you specify printing information.

Follow these steps to reset the printer to use the printing menu settings.

1. Press ONLINE so that the printer's ONLINE indicator turns off.

2. Press and hold down CONTINUE/RESET until RESET appears on the display.
   Then, release CONTINUE/RESET. READY [LJ2] T appears on the display, and
   the ONLINE indicator lights.

NOTES:

* Turning the printer off and back on also clears any printing information
  specified through software, but be sure you wait at least 15 seconds 
  before you turn the printer back on.

* This procedure clears any downloaded fonts.

* This procedure clears the printer's buffer.
