Complete the procedures in this section to install the printer's internal
parts and to connect the printer to your computer and to power.

CAUTION: Before you begin installation, be sure the printer and your com-
puter are turned off and disconnected power.

INSTALLING THE ROLLER CLEANER

1. Press the button on the printer's top cover. The cover springs open.

2. Remove the roller cleaner from its protective bag and install it in the
   fusing unit's slot.

INSTALLING THE TONER-COLLECTING CONTAINER

Install the toner-collecting container as shown. Be sure the arrow on the
container lines up with the arrow on the inside of the printer.

INSTALLING THE ORGANIC PHOTO-CONDUCTIVE (OPC) CARTRIDGE

Remove the OPC cartridge from its protective bag and install it as follows.

1. With the OPC cartridge's drum facing toward the printer, slide the OPC
   cartridge along the guides until it stops.

2. Hold the OPC cartridge with one hand. Then, use your other hand to pull
   down the green tab and remove the OPC cartridge's protective sheet.

CAUTIONS:

* Do not touch the OPC drum. Scratches or fingerprints can cause poor print
  quality.

* The OPC drum is light-sensitive. Do not expose it to bright light.

INSTALLING THE DEVELOPER CARTRIDGE

Remove the developer cartridge from its protective bag, and install it as
follows.

1. Shake the developer cartridge horizontally four or five times.

2. Hold the developer cartridge on a level surface, and remove the protect-
   ive material marked A.

CAUTIONS:

* Do not touch the developer roller.

* Do not remove the sealing plate until instructed.

3. Holding the developer cartridge by its green levers, slide it along the
   guides until it stops.

4. Remove the tape that secures the sealing plate (marked B). Then, pull out
   the sealing plate in the direction shown.

INSTALLING THE TONER CARTRIDGE

Install the toner cartridge as follows:

1. Shake the toner cartridge horizontally four or five times.

2. Hold the lower toner cartridge with its label facing down, and insert 
   its slots into the developer cartridge's hooks. Then, turn the toner 
   cartridge in the direction shown until it clicks under the developer 
   cartridge's green tab.

3. Firmly hold the toner cartridge, and pull out the sealing tape from the
   slot on the right side of the cartridge.

4. Tap the toner cartridge four or five times to release all the toner into
   the developer cartridge.

5. Close the printer's cover.
