Read this section before you print from a word processing package or other 
software program. If your software does not let you control printer
functions, see "Manually Controlling the Printer."

INSTALLING/SELECTING THE PRINTER DRIVER

When you install most software (such as word processing programs), you
specify one or more printer drivers. A printer driver tells the computer
what information to send to the printer.

Install the DMP-310 or IBM Proprinter X24e printer driver as described in
your software's owner's manual. If the software does not offer either of
these drivers, or if the printer does not print correctly, install the IBM 
Proprinter X24, IBM Proprinter, or IBM Graphics Printer printer driver.

When you print, select the correct printer driver, as described in your 
software's owner's manual. If you do not get the proper results when you 
print, be sure that you have the correctly installed the software. If you 
still have problems, contact your software supplier for further
instructions.
