Your 2400-BPS FAX/Modem is a full featured, Hayes-compatible modem with all 
the features your computer needs to communicate with other modem-equipped 
computers and with Group II and Group III fax machines.  Take a few minutes 
to read the next few pages, and familiarize yourself with your modem and its 
many uses.

Your modem is a valuable tool that can save you time and money when you need 
to send vital information, keep up with news events, or order merchandise.  
Plus, you can do all of these things without ever leaving the comfort of your 
office or home.  

You do not have to be a computer whiz to user your modem.  Communications 
software, like the Telecom program included width DeskMate, handles all of 
the commands for your modem.  And you can quickly install your modem with 
only a screwdriver.

The included fax software lets you send and receive faxes at 9600 bps.  See 
the software user's guide for complete information on using your FAX/Modem's 
fax functions.

If you want to write your own communications software or if you want to send 
commands directly to your modem, the operations manual provides all of the 
necessary technical information for your modem.

per second, or baud).

Built-In Speaker--lets you monitor the progress of the call as your modem

Pulse (Rotary) or Touch Tone Dialing--lets your modem dial on any telephone 
line.

Group II and Group III 9600 bps Compatibility--means your FAX/Modem can
