COM PORT SETTINGS

This modem was preset at the factory to operate on COM1. If you use it with 
a Tandy computer or any other computer that uses COM1 for another device 
(such as a mouse), reset this modem to operate on COM2. See Page 16 of the 
modem owner's manual for details.

XENIX AND 3COM USERS

XENIX and 3COM use DTR (data terminal ready) to turn the modem on and off. 
When you turn on your computer or when you send the modem an ATZ command, 
the modem ignores DTR. You must enable DTR using the modem's &D2 command 
for the modem to hang up the phone properly and return to the command mode 
when you disconnect from XENIX or 3COM.
