PROTECTION SURGE PROTECTION The Power Switching Center minimizes voltage surges and noise generated by other electrical devices. It does not regulate voltage or current, nor can it protect the information in computer memory against power failures or brownouts. When the SURGE indicator is on, the surge protection circuit is functioning. If the SURGE indicator does not light, the surge protector was subjected to a power transient beyond its rated capacity and was damaged. The Power Switching Center still functions as a circuit breaker and as a control device, but it no longer provides surge protection . If this happens, take the Power Switching Center to your local Radio Shack store for assistance. OVERLOAD PROTECTION If the total power draw exceeds 1,875 watts, the circuit breaker trips. If this happens, turn off all switches on the center and reduce the power draw by disconnecting a component from the center. Press RESET on the back of the center to reset the circuit breaker.
