Power Switching Center (260-0363) Installation Faxback Doc. # 5176 You can install the Power Switching Center between your computer and monitor for easy access, use it as a base for the monitor or place it near your computer system. Cautions: Use only with a three-prong standard AC outlet or a grounded two-to-three prong adapter. The center cannot provide protection without a grounded AC source. The equipment you plug into the Power Switching Center must have the same voltage and frequency ratings as specified in "Specifications." Check the wattage ratings of all components you are attaching to the Power Switching Center and make sure that total wattage does not exceed the Power Switching Center's 1,875 watt power rating. Follow these steps to set up the Power Switching Center. 1. Place the center on a study, level surface. 2. Plug your computer system's (computer, monitor, printer, and two auxiliary components) AC cords into the corresponding outlets on the back of the center. Caution: Do not exceed the rated capacity of each outlet. 3. Plug the center's AC cord into a standard AC outlet. CONNECTING THE PHONE LINE Follow these steps to connect the center to the phone line: 1. Plug one end of the supplied telephone cord into the center's OUT jack.
