You can use it at home, school, or take it with you when you travel. Setup is as simple as unpacking the box, connecting the WP-101 to AC power, and turning it on. Before you use your word processor, be sure to remove the packing materials. Keep these materials and reinstall them if you ever need to ship your WP-101. Adjustable angled LCD--displays 8 lines of up to 80 characters each. Standard typewriter keyboard for alphanumeric keys--lets you type letters and numbers just like on an ordinary typewriter. User-friendly guidance messages--tells you what to do next. 11 3/4" paper capacity--accepts standard-size paper. Dual character pitch--lets you select the best pitch setting for your document--either 10 cpi (characters per inch) or 12 cpi. Built-in store memory--stores up to 113,600 characters, divided into a max- imum of 64 files. These files are no lost when you turn off the WP-101. Optional card memory--stores up to 31,700 characters, divided into a maximum of 62 files, and frees the built-in memory for creating new documents (260-3971). Spell/Grammar check--checks for spelling errors and some grammar errors in you entire document (spell doc function) by comparing the text against the 50,000-word dictionary. The spell word function checks spelling as you type the document. Thesaurus--offers you alternative words to make your document clearer and more impressive. Mark function--lets you select a block of text and ten use an editing func- tion to change the entire text block all at once. Search and replace--searches through your document and replaces a selected word or phrase. Line printing--prints one line at a time. Zoom image--lets you check the page layout before you print.
