Hold the cassette as shown and pull up the cassette as shown and pull up the cassette arms to release the cassette. 3. Slide the ribbon cassette toward the paper support panel as you gently lift up the cassette to remove it. To Install: 1. Before you install the cassette, be sure to remove the green tab and tighten the ribbon; it can not be tightened after you press the cassette into place. Turn the ribbon takeup knob counterclockwise to take up any slack in the ribbon. When you install a new ribbon, be sure to wind the colored portion of the ribbon into the cassette until it is no longer visible. 2. Fit the two projections on the bottom edge of the ribbon cassette into the two holes in the ribbon cassette holder. 3. Carefully lower the front of the cassette. Be sure the ribbon fits between the card holder and the print wheel. 4. Press down on the positions marked "A" in the illustration until the rib- bon snaps into place. 5. Turn the ribbon takeup knob counterclockwise as far as it will go. Then, turn it clockwise until it stops. CORRECTION TAPE To Remove: 1. Move the print head to the center of the carriage. Remove the ribbon cassette. 2. Remove the left and right spools from the spindles. NOTE: Do not pull the spindle hub when removing the right spool. If you can not get the right spool to come loose, you might be pulling on the hub. Move your fingers toward the right edge of the spool and try again. 3. Grasp both spools and move them toward the platen, keeping the tape as straight as possible. 4. Pull the spools away from each other to take up any slack in the tape and lift it out. To Install: 1. Unwind about 6 inches of the correction tape. Hold the spool with the knob on it in your left hand. Hold the other spool in your right hand. 2. With your right hand, fit the full spool of correction tape onto the right spindle; the smooth rim of the spool should face the right side of the WP-101. Push the spool firmly in place. 3. Keeping the correction tape fairly taut, carefully thread it behind the print wheel and the correction tape guides. Be sure that the sticky side of the correction tape faces the card holder (away from you). 4. Fit the empty spool onto the left spindle; the knob should face the left side of the WP-101. Push the spool until it snaps into place. 5. Turn the left spool counterclockwise until the colored portion of the tape is no longer behind the print wheel. NOTE: Be sure that the correction tape is behind both the left and right correction tape guides. 6. Replace the ribbon cassette. (css 08/04/93)
