FaxMate (250-3063) Commands Faxback Doc. # 5384 CFAX: Displays the Main menu if CFBACK is loaded. CFBACK: Loads the FaxMate background code into memory. FAX_OFF: Removes FaxMate's background code from memory CONVERT {/P|/M|/H|/T|/X|/G} {/S|/F}: Converts the specified file to fax format. You can specify the file type (if it is not a text file) by using /P for PC Paintbrush+ (.PCX), /M for MicroSoft Windows Paint (.MSP), /H for Dr Halo II (.CUT), /T for text files, /X for text files that need page breaks inserted, or /G for Epson FX graph- ics files. If you specify /S or no parameter, then the file is con- verted using standard resolution. If you specify /F, the file is con- verted using fine resolution You must specify the entire file name (including extension). CFAXVIEW : Displays the fax file you specify. CFAXSEND {/P|/M|/H|/T|/X|/G} {/S|/F} {/D|/D17} Sends the specified file to the specified recipient (phone number, name form Phone Book, or Group List with .GRP extension) immediately. If you do not specify a recipient, FaxMate sends the fax immediately to the call in progress. If the file you specify is not already in fax format, it is converted before it is sent. The /D parameter in- dicates that you are communicating with another FaxMate and that this is a DOS file transfer. The /D17 parameter indicates that this is a DOS file transfer from an earlier (pre 2.1) version of FaxMate. If the file is not yet in fax format, you can specify the file type. (if it is not a text file by using /P for PC Paintbrush+ (.PCX), /M for MicroSoft Windows Paint (.MSP), /H for Dr Halo II (.CUT), /T for text files, /X for text files that need page breaks inserted, or /G for Epson FX graphics files. If you specify /S or no parameter, then the file is converted using standard resolution. If you specify /F, the file is converted using fine resolution FAXPRINT : Prints the fax file you specify using FaxMates print facility on computers where the "Print Only" software has been in- stalled. You can use * and ? as wildcards. If you specify an exten- sion (such as .007), only the specified page(s) print. CVRTMODE {/T|/G}: Most programs that print EPSON FX-formatted text files use a graphics mode for underlining. Normally, FaxMate modifies this underline command automatically to improve the appearance of the underlined text. If you convert a file that is totally EPSON FX graphics (such as a chart or graph), tell FaxMate not to modify the underline commands. Use the /T parameter to have FaxMate modify graphics (in other words, you will be converting text files), and the /G parameter to have FaxMate not modify graphics (you will be conver- ting graphics files) DSCANFAX {/V} {/B|/D#} {/S|/F} {I#}: This command lets you scan and fax with a DEST full-page scanner. The /V option lets you view the image after scanning. /B selects black/white images (the default) ; /D# where #=1 for Fatting, 2 for Course Fatting, 6 for Vertical Line, or 8 for Horizontal Line selects a dithering pattern for gray- scaled images. Select standard (/S, the default) or fine (/F) re- solution for the fax. /I# selects image intensity, where #=-1 for lighter, 0 for automatic (the default) or 1 for darker. HSCANFAX {/V} {/B|/D#} {/S|/F} {I#}: This command lets you scan and fax with a Hewlett-Packard full-page scanner. The /V option lets you view the image after scanning. /B selects black/white images (the default); /D# where #=0 for 8 X 8 Fatting, 1 for 4 X 4 Fatting (the default), 2 for 4 X 4 Bayer, or 3 for 4 X 4 Vertical Line, selects a dithering pattern for gray-scaled images. Select standard (/S, the default) or fine (/F) resolution for the fax. /I# selects image in- tensity, where #=-1 for lighter, 0 for normal (the default) or 1 for darker.
