Example: 3C503 L -I Executes diagnostics in loopback mode (with 2 terminators attached to the T- connector on the board). MS-DOS Ver. 03.20.02, 25-4103 (Tandy 3000), 25-4070 (Tandy 3000HL) Includes a new version of ANSI.SYS which must be used in CONFIG.SYS before running 3Com's menu-driven server setup. The EtherLink (26-5501) can be installed in Tandy 3000, 3000 HL, 1200, 1000, and 1000 SX computers. RECONFIGURING ETHERLINK BOARDS This requires resetting the jumpers to change the DMA channel, Interrupt Level and I/O Base Address. If the PROM is not installed, and you are using the THE503.SYS driver, you can set this option to run in shared memory mode and improve the performance of the adapter. +This option determines whether you are using the adapter's on- board (BNC connector) or external (AUI connector) transceiver. The thin Ethernet cable attaches to the BNC connector; the thick Ethernet transceiver cable con- nects to the AUI connector. (css 08/03/93)
