Sometimes the LOGITECH Mouse and its rubber ball are shipped separately.
To put the ball into the mouse:

1.  Turn the mouse upside down to locate the ball housing cover.

2.  Turn the cover counterclockwise and lift.

3.  Insert the ball into the housing.

4.  Replace the ball housing cover and turn clockwise until it locks in
    position.

Your LOGITECH C7 Mouse has a 25-pin RS-232 for IBM PC/XT and compatibles,
or a 9-pin RS-232 connector for IBM AT and compatibles, or a 9-pin RS-232
connector with a 9- to 25- pin adapter (see Appendix A).  the procedure to
attach either connector to the computer is the same.

1.  Switch your computer OFF.

2.  Locate the RS-232 Serial Asynchronous Adapter Port Connector 1 or 2 on
    the back of your computer.  THis will normally be a "male" connector with
    pins sticking out from the computer.  Gently press the mouse connector 
    into place and tighten the screws.

NOTE:  Your LOGITECH C7 Mouse also works with a converter cable, either 25-
to 9-pin or 9- to 25-pin.
