Port Adapter

The adapter can be installed in any 8- or 16-bit expansion slot.  If you will
be using the parallel port on the adapter, reserve a nearby slot for the
parallel port cable.

Install the adapter as you would any expansion adapter.  Refer to your
computer user's guide if you need additional instructions.

Connect the parallel port cable to the adapter.  The cable is keyed so that it
connects only one way.  Remove the slot cover from the selected expansion
slot.  Use the screw from the slot cover to secure the cable's metal bracket
in the back panel.

After you install the dual serial/parallel adapter and any other options you
are adding at this time, replace the computer cover.  Secure the cover with
the screws you removed previously.  Reconnect all peripheral cables to the
appropriate connectors on the back of the computer, and reconnect the power
cord.

Run the Setup utility to include the adapter and any other new options in the
system configuration.  Refer to your computer user's guide for specific
information about the Setup utility.
