Your MC-1 Mouse Pak includes a quality three-button mouse you can set to
work like either a Microsoft Mouse or a Mouse Systems PC Mouse.  It also
has a high-speed tracking servo that provides smooth, skipfree response.

CONNECTING THE MOUSE TO YOUR COMPUTER

Plug the mouse cable's 9-pin plug into your computer's serial port
connector.  If your computer's serial port uses a 25-pin connector, you
need to use a serial-port 25 to 9-pin adapter (Radio Shack Cat. No.
26-1388).

SETTING THE MOUSE'S OPERATING MODE

Turn over the mouse.  To configure the mouse to operate like a two-button
Microsoft Mouse, set the switch to MS.  To configure the mouse to operate
like a three-button Mouse Systems PC Mouse, set the switch to PC.

TESTING THE MOUSE

We have provided a simple test program to let you verify that the mouse is
working properly when you use the supplied driver.  To run the program,
type:

           TMTEST

The program displays a screen with a cursor and indicators for each
button.  The cursor should move as you move the mouse, and the indicators
should show when you press a button.  If the mouse does not operate
correctly, check to be sure the mouse is plugged into the correct serial
port and also be sure the connector is firmly secured.
