The file specified in the message could not be accessed because ano- ther user is accessing the file, login out the backup system, or the person doing the backup does not have access rights to the file. During a restore, often indicates that the file already exists on the disk and is marked "Read-Only". B. The specified file exists on the disk and the overwrite option is not enabled in the backup system. The file remains as it was on the disk before the restore. C. Not all network rights were backed up. Usually preceded by other mes- sages specifying the exact problem. Usually results from the user not having access rights to the entire network disk. The backup operation can proceed if the user wishes, but the special network information will not be backed up. D. A user attempted to restore special network information that refers to a non-existent user, file-server, or other network object. The object may have existed at the time that the network information was backed up, but has since been removed from the network. A solution is to restore the dynamic data files that existed at the time the backup was made. The backup system overwrite option must be enabled. E. The system was unable to write to the disk. The user may not have sufficient network access, the disk might be full, or a hardware error may be the cause. F. An unknown error code was returned by the network and the specified information was not added or changed on the disk. Record the number of the error, the circumstances of its occurrence and contact your network dealer or service support organization. G. The specified special network information was saved to a file on the disk. H. The specified special network information was restored. I. The file was in use and locked when the tape system tried to restore special file information to the network. That file's special informa- tion remains unchanged. J. The backup system could not close the specified file. The cause may be hardware related, or the user may not have sufficient network access rights. K. The specified file could not be opened. Usually results from the user not having supervisory access rights, a full disk, or a disk that already contains the maximum number of directory entries allowed. L. The special network information for this directory could not be saved by the backup system. The user probably does not have access rights to the specified directory. M. Indicates that all the special network information at the time of the backup operation exists on this tape volume and may be restored to the current network system if desired. WARNING: Restoring network rights changes all of the network security, users, passwords, access rights and information to the state when the tape volume was made. To completely restore all special network information and rights, the backup system overwrite option must be enabled. N. The backup system is restoring the special network information and rights in the current tape volume. P. The backup system is saving the special network information and rights in the current tape volume. R. A user attempted to restore special network information to a file- server other than the one backed up on the tape. Special network information can only be restored to the file server from which the original backup was made. NetWare identified file-servers by the name entered at installation. The special network information can be restored only if the file-server is reinstalled and given the server name displayed as the PREVIOUS NAME in the error message. (smm 08/05/93)
