If you also use a data communication program, such as BitCom Deluxe, you can set up BitFax to receive data files as well as faxes. This feature is useful for receiving data and fax files overnight or while you are away from your desk. NOTE: To receive data and fax files, your fax modem must be able to differentiate between a data call and a fax call. Not all modems can. Check your modem's manual before using this feature. When a call comes in, BitFax will automatically detect whether it is a data or a fax call. If it is a fax call, BitFax will receive the fax file. If it is a data call, BitFax will transfer the call to the communication program. THE RECEIVE LOG BitFax automatically keeps a record of each fax you receive in it's Receive Log. The Receive Log records the date, time, the file name, and the duration of each transmission. It also indicates whether BitFax successfully received a fax. To open the Receive Log, press [F9]. This will open the Transmit Log. Press [F4] and the Receive Log will appear. (SMC-04/07/94)
