WP-100 (260-3950) Cursor Control Keys Faxback Doc. # 5902 To move the cursor quickly to a specific position, use the arrow keys in combination with other keys as described below. <- or [BACKSPACE]--Moves the cursor one space to the left. Press and hold either key to move the cursor continuously to the left. When it reaches the left margin, it moves up to the end of the preceding line. -> --moves the cursor one space to the right. Press and hold this key to move the cursor continuously to the right until it reaches column 105. CODE + <- (EXPRESS)--moves the cursor to the left margin. If you have set an indent, the cursor first stops at the indented position. CODE + -> (EXPRESS)--moves the cursor to the right margin. If you have set an indent, the cursor first stops at the end of that line. CODE + [UP ARROW] (PREV P)--moves the cursor to the top of the preceding page. However, it first stops at the top of the current page unless the cursor is already on the first line of the page when you press this key combination. CODE + [DOWN ARROW] (NEXT P)--moves the cursor to the top of the next page. ALT + <- (WORD L)--moves the cursor to the beginning of the word to the left of the cursor. Press and hold this key combination to move the cursor continuously to the left from word to word. When it reaches the last word on a line (nearest the left margin), it automatically moves up to the end of the next line. ALT + -> (WORD R)--moves the cursor to the beginning of the word to the right of the cursor. Press and hold this key combination to move the cursor continuously to the right from word to word. When it reaches the last word on a line (nearest the right margin), it automatically moves down to the left margin on the next line. [RETURN]--moves the cursor down to the left margin (or to the indented position) on the next line. At the end of text, or while using the insert function, it ends each paragraph with a [RETURN] mark. CODE + [RETURN]--moves the cursor down to the left margin (or to the indented position) on the next line, showing a [RETURN] mark on the screen. SPACE BAR--moves the cursor one space to the right. If the cursor is over a character when you press the space bar, it replaces the character with a space in overstrike mode or it inserts a space at the cursor position in insert mode. CODE + SPACE BAR (MICRO SPACE)--moves the cursor 1/60" to the right. If the cursor is over a character when you press this key combination, it replaces the character with a 1/60" space in overstrike mode or it inserts a 1/60" space in insert mode. END--moves the cursor to the end of the document. CODE + END (BEGIN)--moves the cursor to the top of the document. TAB--moves the cursor to the next tab position to the right. (dkh-08/04/93)
