LP 2 (26-1154) Features Faxback Doc. # 5929 The Line Printer II is an economical and versatile unit, ideal for use in small business and personal applications. The printer uses a 7 x 7 dot matrix to produce the full 96 character upper and lower case character set. Along with the standard normal size characters, the printer has the ability to print double-width (elongated) and condensed characters to provide a wide variety of character styles. Characters may be printed at 10 characters per inch or 16.7 characters per inch, providing either 80 column or 132 column output. The printer's three-way paper handling system allows the use of the following types of paper: 1. 9 1/2" wide standard computer fanfold forms, with fixed position pins to ensure pinfeed paper registration. Paper can be multipart up to three parts. 2. Roll paper, 8 1/2" wide, 1" core and up to 5" diameter. The printer includes a roll paper holder. With roll paper an built-in rip-and-read cutting edge allows removal of paper within 5 lines of the last line printed. 3. Single sheets of 8 1/2" wide paper, hand fed as with an ordinary typewriter. OTHER IMPORTANT FEATURES * Buffered input to allow automatic wraparound to the next line when print line exceeds character input buffer capacity. * Fast 10 inches per second carriage return. * Special line-feed buffer for software-controlled forms. * ONLINE/OFFLINE switch resets printer and selects on-line or off-line mode. * Compact size--only 5" x 14" x 11" (HxWxD).
