Follow these steps to set up your system to run WordPerfect for VGA operat-
ion per the instruction manual and verify that it works properly:

1.  Install WordPerfect for VGA operation per the instruction manual and
    verify that it works properly.
2.  Set the monitor to WordPerfect full-page mode by typing:

     fp wordp    <ENTER>

3.  Make the directory that contains the WordPerfect files the active
    directory.
4.  Type: wp /s <ENTER> to enter the WordPerfect setup mode.
5.  At the Set-up Menu, press <3>.
6.  Type: 55 <ENTER> for Number of Rows:
7.  Type: 80 <ENTER> for Number of Columns:
8.  Select the remaining choices or press <ENTER> until the Set-up Menu
    appears.
9.  Select 0 to end setup and enter WordPerfect.
10. WordPerfect is now in full-page mode.
11. Press <CTRL><F3> to set screen colors for a whit background and under-
    line on-screen.
12. Press: <4> for colors.
13. Press: <1> for Color Monitor.
14. Press <Y> for Fast text display.
15. Set the following color selections:

     Normal Background: a
     Normal Text: h
     Underlined Text: b
     Underlined Background: a
     Bold Text: p
     Bold & Underlined: b

16. Press <SHIFT><F3> to switch to Document 2 to st colors. You do not have
    to use the same color selection as those for Document 1. To show under-
    lining on the screen, you must choose B for Underlined Text and A for 
    Underlined Background.
17. Press: <F7> to exit the screen menu and return to WordPerfect.
18. Press: <F7> again to exit WordPerfect and press Y to exit without 
    saving the document. The new color choices are now the default colors 
    when you run WordPerfect.

To run WordPerfect in full-page, at the DOS prompt type:

     fp wordp    <ENTER>

     wp filename   <ENTER>

Wordperfect 4.2 Legal Mode:

The VGM-150 can display the text of an 8 1/2 x 15-inch (legal-size),
double-spaced page by compressing the spaces between each row.

Follow these steps to display a legal-size page in WordPerfect 4.2:

1.  Follow the steps on the previous page to configure WordPerfect for
    full-page operation.
2.  Make the WordPerfect directory the current directory.
3.  This changes {WP}SYS.FIL, so backup this file by typing:

     copy {wp}sys.fil fullpage.fil    <ENTER>

4.  Set the monitor to the WordPerfect legal mode by typing:

     fp wplegal   <ENTER>

5.  Type: wp/s <ENTER> to enter the WordPerfect setup menu.
6.  Press: <3> for Set Screen and Beep Options.
7.  Type: <73> <ENTER> for Number of rows:
8.  Type: <80> <ENTER> for Number of columns:
9.  Press: <F7> to return to the setup menu.
10. Press: <0> for Enter Set-up and enter WP.
11. Press: <CTRL><F10> to define a macro.
12. Type: legal <ENTER> for Define Macro:
13. Press: <SHIFT><F8> to enter Line Format.
14. Press: <4> for Spacing.
15. Press: <2> <ENTER> for [Spacing Set].
16. Press: <ALT><F8> to enter Page Format.
17. Press: <4> for Page Length.
18. Press: <2> <ENTER> to select Legal Size Paper and return to WordPerfect.
19. Press: <CTRL><F10> to create a macro named LEGAL.WPM.
20. Press: <F7> to exit WordPerfect.
21. Press: <N> for Save Document? (Y/N).
22. Press: <Y> for Exit WordPerfect? (Y/N).

Make a copy of {WP}SYS.FIL by typing:

     copy {sp}sys.fil legal.fil    <ENTER>

Make a batch file with the following commands to run WordPerfect in full-
page mode:

     copy fullpage.fil {wp}sys.fil
     fp wordp
     wp%1

Make a batch file with the following commands to run WordPerfect in legal
mode:

     fp wplegal
     copy legal.fil{wp}sys.fil
     wp /m-legal%1
