SETTING THE TIME/DAY/DATE CLOCK AND SECURITY CODE

After you install the tapes, the answering machine announces.  "Please set
time, date and remote code."

1.  Press [SET TIME/REMOTE CODE] located on the back of the answering
    machine.  The answering machine announces, "Please set hour.  Twelve
    A.M."

    Use [FAST-F] to advance the hour or [REWIND] to reverse the hour.
    Press and hold for rapid sequencing.

2.  Press [SET TIME/REMOTE CODE] to store the desired hour and set the
    minutes.  The answering machine announces, "Set minutes.  Zero."

    Press [FAST-F] to advance the minutes and [REWIND] to reverse the
    minutes.

    Press and release [FAST-F] or [REWIND], and the minutes change by
    single digits.

    If you press and hold either button, the minutes change by 10-digit
    increments.

3.  Press [SET TIME/REMOTE CODE] to store the minute and set the day.  The
    answering machine announces, "Set day. Sunday."

    Press [FAST-F] to advance the days and [REWIND] to reverse the days.
    Press and hold for repaid sequencing.

4.  Press [SET TIME/REMOTE CODE] to store the days and set the month.  The
    answering machine announces, "Set month.  January."

    Press [FAST-F] to advance the months and [REWIND] to reverse the
    months.

5.  Press [SET TIME/REMOTE CODE] to store the month and set the date.
    The answering machine announces, "Set date.  One."

   Press [FAST-F] to advance the date and [REWIND] to reverse the date.
   Press and release [FAST-F] or [REWIND], and the date changes one day at
   a time.

    If you press and hold either button, the date changes by 10-day
    increments.

6.  Press [SET TIME/REMOTE CODE] to store the date and set the security
    code.

    The answering machine announces, "Set remote code, first digit.  One."

    Press [FAST-F] to advance and [REWIND] to reverse the first digit of
    the security code.

7.  Press [SET TIME/REMOTE CODE] to store the first digit.  Follow the same
    procedure for setting the second and third digits of the security
    code.  Press [SET TIME/REMOTE CODE].  The answering machine
    announcement the new security code.

    Example:  "Remote code, eight, two, seven."

Notes:

*  If you do not press a key for 30 seconds during the setting procedure,
   the answering machine stores the entries up to that point.

*  If you press [STOP] before you finish setting the time/day/date and
   security code, the answering machine stores the entries up to that
   point.

*  During the setting procedure you can skip over any items you don't want
   to change by continually pressing (SET TIME/REMOTE CODE).

CHECKING THE TIME

To check the time/day/date at any time press [TIME].  The answering machine
announces the current time, day and date.
