NOTE:  Do not operate your receiver on a positive ground electrical
       system.

After you position and mount the radar detector, insert the DC power
cable's 12V DC power plug into the jack on the radar detector's side.
Then push the cable's cigarette lighter plug into your vehicle's
cigarette lighter socket.  Make sure the cigarette lighter receptacle is
clean.  A loose fit between the power plug and lighter receptacle can
cause a bad connection when driving on rough roads.
