3-Band Radar Detector (220-1645) Features Faxback Doc. # 6219 The Radio Shack X K Ka Wideband Radar Detector receives X-, K-, and Ka band traffic radar signals. Your easy-to-mount radar detector alerts you with a light and a tone when it detects a traffic radar signal. The radar detector has a unique FAST (False Alert Suppression Technology) circuit that helps it prevent false alarms caused by signals from other radar detectors, without reducing the radar detector's sensitivity to actual traffic radar signals. NOTE: Some areas have laws regulating the use of radar detectors. Check with your local law enforcement agency about the laws in your area. The radar detector has many useful features. Signal Strength Meter - shows you the relative strength of the traffic radar signal so you can take appropriate action. Highway/City Modes - let you reduce the detector's sensitivity to X-band signals, often used for non-traffic radar devices, without affecting the detector's sensitivity to K and Ka- band signals. X-, K-, and Ka-Band Signal Detection - warns you when it detects signals from most traffic radar devices. Different tones sound to let you know the band on which the signal is detected. Wideband Ka-Band Detection - detects the complete Ka-bandwidth allocated to traffic radar. (rlr/all-7/6/94)
