POSITIONING THE TURNTABLE PLATTER

  1.  Remove the transport screw and rubber screw guide from the bottom of
      the turntable.  Store these pieces with the other packing material.

  2.  Place the turntable on a flat surface and lift the dust cover.

  3.  Carefully place the turntable platter's small center hole over the
      turntable spindle and gently lower the platter onto the spindle.

  4.  Rotate the platter until one of its four larger holes is above the
      motor's driver pulley.

  5.  Stretch the rubber belt (located on the inner rim of the turntable
      platter) and place it around the motor pulley.

NOTE:  Be sure that the motor pulley and the rubber belt are
       free of grease or any other foreign matter and that the
       belt is not twisted.
 
  6.  Place the rubber mat on the turntable platter.

  7.  Remove the tone arm's cushion.
