LAB-2250 (420-2921) Operation Faxback Doc. # 6262 USING AUTOMATIC PLAY 1. Set your receiver/amplifier's volume control to a low level. Then, set its input selector to PHONO and turn on the receiver/amplifier. 2. Press [POWER] on the turntable. The SIZE 12 indicator and the SPEED 33 indicator lights. 3. Lift the dust cover and pull the stylus cover toward you to remove it. 4. If necessary, press [SIZE] to select the 7 inch size. The SIZE 7 indicator lights and the SPEED indicator changes from 33 to 45. NOTE: This turntable is designed to play only standard-size records. 5. Place a record on the turntable and close the dust cover. 6. Press [PLAY/STOP]. The turntable starts, and the tone arm lowers itself onto the record. At the end of the record, the tone arm automatically lifts and returns to the tone arm rest, and the turntable stops. At any time during the play cycle, you can gently lift the tone arm from the record by pressing [CUE]. The table continues to rotate. Press [CUE] again to lower the tone arm and resume the play cycle. To stop the play cycle before the end of a record, press [PLAY/STOP]. The tone arm lifts and returns to the tone arm rest, and the turntable stops. POWER FAILURE PROTECTION This feature protect the turntable's stylus and the records in case a power failure occurs. If the power fails, the tone arm automatically raises. When power is restored, the tone arm returns to the tone arm rest. NOTES: Do not touch tone arm while it is moving. When you play a 45-rpm record with a large center hole, place the supplied adapter over the turntable spindle. USING REPEAT PLAY 1. If you want to repeat a side of a record [REPEAT]. The REPEAT indicator lights. When the tone arm reaches the end of the record, it returns to the beginning of the record and plays the record again. 2. To stop repeat play, press [REPEAT] again. The REPEAT indicator goes off. USING MANUAL PLAY 1. Follow Steps 1-5 of "Using Automatic Play." 2. Press and hold [ << ] or [ >> ] to select the desired part of the record. The tone arm moves to the left or right. 3. Press [CUE]. The tone arm lowers and play begins at the selected location. (CJD/smc-05/19/94)
