Auto-Ranging LCD Digital Multimeter

When replacing the batteries, the meter's display might lock up or not
work properly.  To prevent this, set the function switch to OFF before
installing or replacing the batteries.

If the meter locks up after you set the function switch to OFF and
install or replace the batteries, then remove the batteries again.
Wait 30 minutes, then reinstall the batteries and try to operate the
multimeter again.
